Parents if you haven’t entered your child’s photo in Prevent Blindness America’s Most Beautiful Eyes Contest, now’s the time to do it! You’ve got one week left to submit a photo that best shows off your child’s eyes for a chance of winning an educational scholarship worth $10,000 as well as other prizes.
Parents may submit photos of children between the ages of zero and 17 on or before July 31, 2013 to the Prevent Blindness America Facebook page. During the entire month of August, the public is invited to cast their vote online for the child with the most beautiful pair of eyes, so be sure to encourage your friends and family to vote for your child’s photo! A winner will be selected from each state, and that winner will advance to the second round of voting. State winners will receive a pair of Real Kids Shades, as well as their own copy of the book Jacob’s Eye Patch by Beth Kobliner Shaw and Jacob Shaw.
The grand prize winner of the contest will be selected by a panel of celebrity judges and will be presented with their prize at Prevent Blindness America’s Annual Awards Banquet in Chicago on Friday, November 8, 2013. The winner will be allowed to bring two family members along for the weekend.
