Earlier this week we shared with you the benefits cross country skiing could have on your entire family. Today we are going to share a ski safety check list for kids in case you do decide to go cross country skiing with your family. Would you actually prefer to go on a downhill skiing trip with your family? The basic ski safety elements are the same for all types of skiing so our checklist will work for you too. Before you leave for your winter getaway with your family make sure you have these items packed for your children:

- Sunscreen and SPF lip balm
- Skis (unless you plan to rent upon arrival)
- Poles (if applicable)
- Ski boots
- Real Kids Shades sunglasses
- Hat or ear warmers
- Ski pants and jacket/vest
- Layers of clothing
- Ski gloves
- Ski socks
*Be sure to look for apparel made specifically for skiing, it will have extra insulation and absorption benefits.
If you take any pictures of you kids on the slopes in their Real Kids Shades share them on our Facebook page, we’d love to see them. Have a safe and enjoyable trip!
