Hey parents! Have you heard that Prevent Blindness America (PBA) is holding the Eat for Your Eyes online recipe contest? PBA is in search of original recipes with ingredients that promote eye health, as well as benefit diabetics or pre-diabetics, and there is still time to enter! Entries are being accepted through November 30th since November has been declared Diabetic Eye Disease Awareness Month.
Now’s the time to gather the family and go through all your favorite recipes or come up with a new one to submit for the contest. Entries must include at least two eye-healthy ingredients with instructions on how to create the dish and explain how the recipe benefits those with diabetes or pre-diabetes. Winners will be selected at random from all entrants that have complied with the rules of the contest. Amazon gift cards in amounts of $200, $100 and $50 will be awarded to first, second and third prize winners respectively. Additionally, winning recipes will be published on the Live Right, Save Sight! program section of the PBA website.
