Light moves in all directions, but when it hits a flat surface it becomes polarized. In other words, it travels in a more singular, uniform direction. This singularity intensifies light, creating glare and making it harder to see.

Reduced glare

Unlike standard sunglasses, a polarized lens uses a special filter that blocks intense light and protects vision. Simply put, it reduces glare. Say you’re riding along in the car and another car is passing by you. The sun is reflecting off of that other car, creating a glare. However, if you’re wearing polarized sunglasses, you won’t see the glare thanks to that special filter.
