National Sunglasses Day is brought to you by The Vision Council. It started in 2014 when The Vision Council wanted to encourage more people to wear their sunglasses and promote the importance of UV eye protection. And it’s been going strong ever since, trending on social media and garnering more than half a billion consumer media impressions.

There are many ways to celebrate National Sunglasses Day. Here are just a few ideas to get you started:
Share it on social media
Last year, more than 900 million took part in the movement on social media, so why not take part this year? Snap a picture of you and your favorite shades and share it on Twitter or Facebook using the hashtags #SunglassSelfie and #NationalSunglassesDay.
