It’s the time of year when your kids get a short break from school to enjoy the warm weather of spring. Whether you are going on a family vacation, or you plan to relax at home we want to remind you to get your child’s Real Kids Shades in time for spring break. Even if the sun isn’t shining bright where you live, your children still need to wear sunglasses whenever they are outside. UV rays are just as present on cloudy days as they are when the sun is out, and exposure to them can lead to various eye diseases. Real Kids Shades offer 100 percent UVA and UVB protection with wrap around frames which minimize peripheral light.
Before you head off to your spring break destination be it a beach or your backyard, we want to share with a few spring break safety tips for your little ones.
- Avoid extended outdoor activities between 10am – 4pm when the sun’s rays are the strongest
- Apply a waterproof, children’s sunscreen of at least SPF 15 to all exposed skin 30 minutes before heading outdoors
- Make sure your child wears his or her Real Kids Shades to block all UV rays
- Dress your child in cotton clothing to stay cool and block the sun
