A few days ago American kid’s toy giant Fisher-Price voluntarily recalled 11 million of its products. The products recalled are said to have caused injury to children and are hazardous. The recall was so large because many of the items have been available for the last 10 years. Some of the items recalled include:

  • Over 7 million Fisher-Price Trikes and Tough Trikes toddler tricycles
  • 100,000 of its Little People Wheelies Stand ‘n Play Rampway toys
  • Around 1 million Fisher-Price Healthy Care, Easy Clean and Close to Me High Chairs
  • Nearly 3 million Fisher-Price infant toys with inflatable balls

As we get closer to the holiday season it is important for parents to remember to test toys before giving them to children. To test toys play with them, pull on parts that seem loose, drop them, and look for ways that they may cause problems. In addition to testing your child’s toys visit the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission website to check for voluntary recalls. If you think you may have any of the toys that have been recalled or if you have any general questions regarding the recall contact Fisher-Price at 800-432-5437 or on the Mattel website.
