Because kid’s overall health is at the forefront of everything we do, we want to let you know that February is National Children’s Dental Health Month! Each year the month is sponsored by the American Dental Association to help raise awareness about oral health and the importance of it. This year’s campaign aimed at small children is set to remind them that, “A Healthy Smile? It’s Easy to Find! Remember to brush and Floss Everyday. For pre-teens and teenagers the campaign focuses on, “Healthy Smiles Look Good Up Close.”
Just as it is extremely important for kids to begin developing good habits of wearing sunglasses when outdoors at a young age to ensure optimal eye health, it’s important for them to learn good oral habits and visit the dentist. To teach your child more about obtaining healthy teeth and gums visit the ADA website for fun oral health activities.
