Summer isn’t the only time of the year to utilize vacation days and squeeze in family time. Fall is a brief and beautiful season that should be enjoyed while it lasts. Making time to get out of the workplace and spend time with your family for the day or the weekend is a really good idea. Here’s how to spend it.

  1. Fall Festivals: All around the country, there are Fall Festivals taking place with tons of different activities involved. Apple picking, candle making, and pumpkin decorating crafts are all around us. It’s a great way to get creative, learn some new facts, and have a new experience with your loved ones.

  2. Corn Maze: There are more corn mazes around you than you’re aware of. All over the country, rural areas are using their space to create fun and challenging corn mazes while their crops are tall and prosperous. Grab the family and work as a team to make your way to the finish line.

  3. Amusement Park: Find the nearest amusement park to your home and make a day of it. Amusement parks are always finding new and interesting ways to incorporate Fall and Halloween into their activities. Best of all, there’s something for every personality type.

  4. National Park: America’s most beautiful, national parks are ornamented all throughout the country. It’s a great way to get outside and spend a day or the entire weekend. Discover all that this country and the Earth has to offer by visiting a nearby or far away National Park that fits your family dynamic.

  5. Go Camping: As with National Parks, campgrounds are everywhere. It’s a nice change of pace to pitch a tent and spend a night or two in the great outdoors. Hiking, campfires, and storytelling will create a new opportunity for quality time and less time for technology.

  6. Canoeing: Fall is a great time to go on a canoe or kayak trip. Temperatures permit you to be near the water without needing to jump in to keep cool. Canoeing and kayaking also implements exercise and teamwork.
